CHINESE ARMY
"Combining warm fifties and sixties sounds with a cold magnetic energy reminiscent of Suicide make for Parisian duo Chinese Army’s intensely visual music - sort of beat-rock wrapped in experimental soundscapes."
Chinese Army is a peaceful band - most of the time. Or so they say. The idea for Chinese Army was born while Oan Kim (who's also a photographer) and Benoit Perraudeau were working together on the soundtrack of the 'Like on Loop' installation at the Pyo Gallery, in Los Angeles. Both former members of the band 'Film Noir', the two artists have managed to infuse a cinematographic vibe into their songs, balancing between cold magnetism and lyricism. Their second EP, 'Five Easy Pieces', was released in 2014.
