KID NORTH TEASES US WITH NEW SONG
Before the time has come for Kid North to amaze us with their second album (which should be released by the end of the year), the French indie-pop band has decided to tease us with a new song, New Waters, just to leave us hanging.

Kid North first came to attention when their first EP (Atlas, Tsunami Addiction) was released in 2013. Their compositions were what Les Inrocks described at the time as "deceitfully naive and really urgent". Now stripped down to a three piece, the band is preparing the release of their second album and has just unveiled the video for their new song. New Waters is energetic, that's the least we can say, but while the chorus verges on electro-pop, and seems to be influenced by Two Doors Cinema Club's dynamic melodies, the verses hold some soothing qualities to them. Actually if you strain you ear, you can hear a bit of Band of Horses there. So yeah, it's definitely full of ups and downs, definitely good, and definitely something you want to listen on repeat.
