FOREVER PAVOT
Forever Pavot was formed in La Rochelle, west of France, in 2011 and the band describe their music as "Pop 60's Psych Library Soundtrack Prog". No doubt the music of this French quintet is going to make you raise an eyebrow and tap your foot at the same time when you hear him at Rock en Seine!
Emile Sorin, the man (and face) behind Forever Pavot, loves to mix his influences. Here, Ennio Morricone meets The Kinks, the imagerie of spaghetti westerns flirts with the pop sounds of the late 60s and eastern exoticism is lost in synthesizers. The first album of Forever Pavot, Rhapsode, which was released in 2014, has been called a "dream machine", probably because of the multiplicity of references mixed in the compositions, resulting in uber-creative songs that are strangely unique.
