MAD ABOUT MODIANO

Who on earth is Patrick Modiano?

He's a French writer, and his birthday is 10 days after mine.

Oh, and he won the 2014 Nobel Prize in Literature (casual).

Why should I read his books?

Well, Amazon users have described his writing as "simple, complex and thought provoking" (which makes absolutely no sense). Each novel is like a jigsaw puzzle of names, places and faces...stick with it though as you are rewarded with philosophical fuel by the end of it.

Ok, I'm convinced. What shall I do now?

Click right here my friend and whack your wallet out to reserve a ticket for our specially spectacular Reading Group on the 17th of September. There will be not one, not one and a half, but TWO moderators: Alan Morris (University of Glasgow) and Dervila Cooke (Dublin City University). How fantastic!

It's human nature to want more cake, there will also be a series of Modiano related events right here.

And if you are an Oliver Twist kind of person who wants more, then click on this sexy selection of eBooks on Culturethèque...the images took ages to re-size by the way, so be grateful!
