Pia-pia-piano
Cancel all your plans from the 18th-20th of March 2016 (even your sister's wedding...true love doesn't exist, sorry) and wriggle those fingers for It's All About Piano.
Of course we will (constantly) remind you closer to the time, but here just a dollop of what's in store...and what we really can't wait for:
1. Bruce Brubaker is back, back again
Yes, the mighty jazz pianist returns to the Institut français for round II. Must say that I am scarred for life by John Cage...let's just say A-Level music didn't paint him in the best light, but thank the lords for Philip Glass ('Satyagraha' being a personal favourite). Snap up your tickets right here.
2. Not So Silent Movies
Remember the good old days when films were silent and everyone was boring? Well, spice up your life with a golden oldie: Laurel & Hardy with live piano accompaniment. Yes you heard me, it's time to grab your popcorn and eat it beforehand (I'm afraid there's no food or drink allowed in the Ciné Lumière).
Roll up, roll up for your billets this way.
3. David Kadouch and Adam Laloum
Ever seen two handsome guys play one piano? Me neither. Luckily enough, the genius festival team have thought of an event which fits the bill (excuse the pun). They're both French and they're both going to play music by French composers. That's all the information you'll need to be convinced.
Snatch the tickets here.
If you're dying with excitement, then look no further than these piano-related documents on Culturethèque (stream music and watch concerts).
Hold your horses, you'll need to sign up here for full access.
