WATCH SHORT FILMS ON THE SHORTEST DAY
Around this time, most people will go into hibernation after the over dose of Christmas office parites/miseltoe kissing/chocolate oranges...(oh go on, just one more).
Here at Culturethèque, we are the present that keeps on giving. Le jour le plus court is offering you lucky lads and lasses the opportunity to watch short films. Online. For free.
But if you're lazy (like moi) then stop being lazy: get off your bum and start watching. These films will only be around until the 20th of December 2015.
First up, we have En pleine forme by Pierre Etaix. I highly suggest that you watch Le Grand amour too - there's a scene where a bed drives through a forest. I kid you not.
Next up, Yúyú de Marc Johnson. Who wouldn't want to watch a man infested with bees? YúYú is based on a true story of a Chinese beekeeper who performs a rite of spring to recover the environmental balance of the Yangtze Valley in Chóngqìng.
It's not Halloween, but do we care? NON! Le Vampire de Jean Painlevé was created in 1945 by a son of a mathematician and twice prime-minister of France!
La Saint Festin de Léo Marchand et Anne-Laure Daffis is a lovely little animation about murder, blood and happy things like that.
Petite Blonde de Emilie Aussel - escape to the seaside and get some sun on your face...then wake up to reality when your cat disrupts your concentration whilst watching this charming film.
Molii de Carine May, Yasine Qnia, Hakim Zouhani, Mourad Boudaoud tells the tale in a swimming pool. Well, what hapens around the pool...
Il y a une guerre de Damien Gonzalez, an instagram style film about sabotage and rebellion.
Dialogue au sommet de Xavier Giannoli stars François Cluzet (who looks like Dustin Hoffman).
L’île aux fleurs de Jorge Furtado is a bit weird and experimental...
Le Loup Blanc de Pierre-Luc Granjon
Le cancre de Chenghua Yang
Diagonale du vide de Hubert Charuel
Alan Vega, just a million dreams de Marie Losier
Adieu Général de Luis Briceňo
La Force des choses de Alain Guraudie
