It’s time to come to the “Totally Serialized” TV Series festival!!
From January 28th to 30th, 2016 the French Institute is organising a festival to promote French and English collaborations in TV series productions.
Today I shall introduce you to Baron noirI, a Canal + original creation with Kad Merad! You know Kad Merad...right?
But in this series, the famous French actor of Bienvenue chez les Ch'tis has no bike failures, he’s not eating French fries or trying to speak the “odd” language of the North…

Ok it reveals nothing. So, just for you, a little summary:
It is the story of a man who has been successful, close to power but starting to lose his touch. Philippe Rickwaert, both a mayor in the North of France and a member of the French Parliament is fired by his mentor (the candidate for the main left-wing party) in order to secure the election. Determined to get back in the game, Rickwaert will have to cultivate friendships in all the spheres of society and face a daily struggle against his enemies – and his inner demons.
Once more we can see a man who has to adapt to the Loi du marché… Like Vincent Lindon’s character did after 20 months of unemployment in the Stéphane Brizé’s movie. So our favourite male actors seem to experience difficult times nowadays… But we hope that our dear Kad Merad will win his fight to regain his smile!
