Modigliani gets comical

Listen up boys and girls, there's a new exhibition coming to London presented by Salammbo Press. Laurent Seksik and Fabrice Le Hénanff are releasing a graphic novel about Amedeo Modigliani - the Italian who turned Parisian, or as Wikipedia puts it, from "dapper academician artist into a sort of prince of vagabonds".

And if you can't quite remember Modigliani's painting style, just think "House of Mirrors" "elongated faces", and you're onto a winner.

Here are the details for this exhibition:

Carnegie Library, 188 Herne Hill Rd, London SE24 0AG

1-29 February 2016

And if you're in a Depeche mood whereby you just can't get enough, then pop along to the Institut français on the 31st of March at 7pm. Why? Just because.

No, the real reason is that Laurent Seksik and Fabrice Le Hénanff will be discussing their new release in person, with Paul Gravett (the comics master, this video is proof).

I leave you with a picture of people having fun with distorted mirrors, try it yourself on the central line windows (high five if you know what I'm talking about)...
