'Notes 1. Born to be a Larve' by Boulet
Comics lovers, this one is for you. Actually, this one is for everyone. That's what's so delightful about Boulet's drawings and reflections: they are about you and me, about our everyday-life joys and struggles. About happy days and grumpy ones. In a sort of illustrated stream of consciousness, Boulet shares random yet witty thoughts on ambition, procrastination, childhood and adulthood, love, music... even on moldy raclette monsters. Oui oui. Most of all, it is entertaining and full of imagination. Thanks to Soaring Penguin Press, paper copies are now available in English !!! >> Get your book <<
Boulet : from Sketchbooks, to Weblog, to Books
Boulet studied art at the Graduate School of Decorative Arts in Strasbourg. In 2001, he published his first comic strip, Raghnarok. In 2004, Boulet’s friends advised him to start a blog, a place to collect his reflections of everyday life. The ever-rising popularity of this blog allowed him to become the first "Godfather"of the newly created Paris Comic Strip Blog Festival (Festival des blogs BD), in 2005.
These sketches have since been gathered in paper volumes entitled Notes, published in France by Delcourt. 'Born to be a Larve' is the first one to be released in the United Kingdom, but hopefully the others will follow. Here are the covers, as a mise en bouche...
