The Translators' Directory is available on the Institut Français website
This list of of French-to-English translators in the UK will be regularly updated and includes the latest works published by each translator. The Book Office of the French Institute is happy and proud to be able to shed light on the work of professionals without whom our mission to promote French literature abroad would simply be impossible.
To quote AL Kennedy in her keynote speech "News from Nowhere", given at the British Library last May during the European Literature Night:
"Translators always tend to be the unsung and underpaid heroes and heroines of international literature."
