It's the 34th Prix du Jeune Ecrivain!
Although around 184 000 books are published in United Kingdom each year, much more people try to write a story, or already have one, ready to be submitted. If you were born between the 1st of January 1991 and the 31st of December 2002, your time may have come!
Take part in the 34th Prix du Jeune Ecrivain! Send one or two short stories, between 13 500 and 40 500 characters each, written in French of course, whatever is your nationality. Last year, among the twelve laureates, six came from Belgium, Burkina Faso, Quebec and Haiti.
You may win fantastic prizes, such as books, creative writing workshops, or even a trip!
Each candidate, even if you have not been lucky this year, will receive a synopsis from the jury and a collection with the winning short stories.
This prize was created in 1984 and ever since, many laureates have become well-known writers: French Marie Darrieussecq or Venezuelan Miquel Bonnefoy.
Last year, the brilliant laureates were all invited to the Book Fair in Paris!
Please subscribe on the website www.pjef.net. French candidates, wherever they live, will pay a fee (20€). For more information, contact prix.pjef@pjef.net
