Recognised as a national holiday since 1880, July 14th commemorates the storming of the Bastille in 1789. This Saturday, July 14, 2018, if all else fails and you cannot celebrate this national holiday in France, there are several places in London where you can party.
Every year the Borough Market welcomes those who come to celebrate July 14 in London. Borough Market is one of the largest markets in the world, it is redecorated for the occasion in the colors of the French flag.
This festival is organized in collaboration with "French World" association. This event is free and takes place from noon to 8pm. There are all sort of activities which take place within the market itself including everywhere along the southbank side.
