The 35th Prix du Jeune Ecrivain's jury is ready to read new talents!
Since 1984, the Prix du Jeune Ecrivain rewards 12 young passionate francophone writers each year.
The Prix du Jeune Ecrivain association promotes literature and French language among young Francophones all over the world.
For the 35th time, francophone writers between 15 and 27 are invited to send their short stories. The twelve lucky winners will have their story published in the collection of winning stories by the Editions Buchet Chastel. There are other fantastic prizes to win: a holiday trip to Montreal, a writing workshop week with the PJE association, e-book readers and books to download, books batches, and more.
The association also congratulates each participant, who will receive a personalized synopsis from the jury and the collection of winning stories. A lot of reasons to start sending your stories!
Young writers have until the 15th of February to send their application on this page.
The Prix du Jeune Ecrivain, for more than 30 years, has given writers the chance to be read and even become recognised authors. Among previous winners, French authors Marie Darrieussecq, Ingrid Astier, François Henri Désérable or Antoine Bello are now well-known writers. International Francophone authors have also been discovered thanks to the Prix du Jeune Ecrivain, including Venezuelan writer Miquel Bonnefoy, Quebecker writer Mireille Gagné, and Algerian writer Kaouther Adimi.
