If you don't know British illustrator Tor Freeman, it is time for you to learn more about her wonderful books and comics!

Tor Freeman lives in London, she studied illustration at Kingston University. She is an author and illustrator and has published 27 books and comics for both children and adults.
Her work has been rewarded: in November 2017, she won the Jonathan Cape/Observer/Comica graphic short story prize for If you’re so wise, how come you’re dead?, a graphic story that you can discover online here.
In France, her illustrations are published in well-known children magazines such as Pomme d’Api and Tralalire and her books are published by Editions Milan and Gallimard Jeunesse.
She has worked with several authors: French-Polish author Elisabeth Brami on a beautiful dictionary of animals, Le Dico rigolo des animaux published by Casterman but also with beloved British author Michael Murpurgo for the story Cool as a Cucumber, published by Walker Books, and Michelle Robinson on the hilarious 10 Fat Sausages, published by Andersen Press.
In her recent book Welcome To Oddleigh, published by Bog Eyed Books, Tor Freeman tells the story of a cat, Chief Inspector Jessie and a dog, Sergeant Sid, who team up to police the town of Oddleigh, where strange things seem to happen..
We are delighted to welcome her at the South Ken Kids Festival on Saturday 24 November where she will meet the children for a funny comic character drawing workshop based on Welcome To Oddleigh, and a Live Drawing with famous Axel Scheffler and French illustrator Ronan Badel!
